Network Attached Storage (NAS)

A NAS (network-attached storage) device is a server dedicated to file sharing that connects to an IP network. NAS devices communicate with client systems using NFS (network file system) and/or CIFS (common Internet file system).

The F5 Acopia ARX® switch optimizes the use of NAS devices, simplifying access to them and enabling seamless file movement between different NAS devices.
