This two-day course provides networking professionals with an in-depth understanding of the BIG-IP Family. The course reviews installation, configuration, and management on a system using the BIG-IP family of products, including the use of the command line interface. Many of the lectures and labs discuss advanced configurations that require application of multiple features.

Note: These courses are mandatory prerequisites for taking the appropriate BIG-IP Advanced Topics v4.6 or v9.x course.

The course builds on the foundation of the BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM) Essentials and Advanced Topics courses, demonstrating the next steps for implementing BIG-IP in a way that effectively delivers your client applications. The labs for the course involve design exercises and group discussions. Based on the knowledge gained in other BIG-IP LTM courses, you will work with other students to build network designs that incorporate BIG-IP LTM to accomplish customer goals. The course will cover many network design options, as well as best practices for given customer scenarios. The course will also explore other design options available using BIG-IP Global Traffic Manager, BIG-IP Link Controller, BIG-IP Application Security Manager, BIG-IP Message Security Module, and BIG-IP WebAccelerator.

Prior to attending the Architecting BIG-IP in an Application Delivery Network course the student must have attended the BIG-IP LTM Essentials and Advanced Topics courses.
